The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

OK this might not be new to you but I just learnt a new trick and was amazed how great it works when rotating wheels/tyres. Remove wheel, shuffle replacement wheel/tyre into place, then instead of heaving the thing up in a crouched position, then trying to rotate it around so you get a stud through, and busting a pooper valve in the process, do this: Shuffle replacement wheel into place. Slide a spade/shovel under the outer edge of the bottom of the tyre. Push the spade/shovel handle down, thereby lifting the wheel up an inch or two to stud height. To rotate, slide the spade/shovel handle left or right to spin the wheel until studs line up with the holes. Push the wheel on. So bloody easy and takes no effort at all!
Thanks to my old man I will use this trick from now on.

Good one Plas.
Always done similar using the wheel brace or breaker bar under the tyre.
"Can't" is a dirty 4 letter word.
Best way to deal with a "Can't" is to chop off the "t" and brew it in boiled water for a few minutes.
Sip on the "t", and consider what you've got left to work with

When out bush with poor radio signal (am/fm), knock a tent peg into the ground and pour a billy of water over it.
Hook a jump wire between the radio aerial base and the tent peg.
Works brilliant most of the time.

Just saw this on Facebook..
Nice little life hack.
Jiggle a zip tie through that tough knot...
This will give you loops and the knot should come apart simply.
