The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I am a radio technician and would recommend Icom IC455.

I have had problems with GME in the past but never with Icom.

Hi TPC, following from my other thread I think I might just bite the bullet and start looking for a new UHF. I checked out the icom IC455 but am wondering if there's something else you would recommend in a lower price bracket? Or do you get what you pay for?

.......from under the great down under.

I have only delt with GME and Icom so not the bast at giving advice on cheaper brands. Our work mainly sells commercial radios to mining and emergency services so very different to the CB market. Sorry I can't be more help.
