@nissannewby can I get your thoughts on this? I just played around with my intercooler piping and noticed that one was extremely loose, as in finger tight on the clamp.. I've just tightened everything up and I'm positive it's much quicker. Would a boost leak like that cause such a massive difference?

Yes it will. You wont really see a psi loss as such but you are loosing volume. Volume is key to making the power and torque. When running these sorts of pressures and volumes good quality clamps are a must. Andy has been told which ones he should be using. Standard worm drive type clamps really dont cut it.

I'll have to source some larger ones. I just have light duty ones currently. I'm really glad I found it.

Matty, can you please advise those thin clamps you and Peter mentioned too as I forgot the name and I can't fit the wider angled bolt clamp style on my inlet.

Might be helpful to Chappy too because I'm struggling on that side and just fit the bolt type on my turbo outlet.

It looks like I've got worms then... All of mine look like that apart from the big 2 on the intercooler itself.

My new K&N filter arrived today. My Patroldocta box will be modified to fit it in. Helmet for scale.

These sorts of ones. Have a thinner 14mm band to make it easier than the 19mm band ones.

these are the ones to use this is what we have on trucks we run 30 to 40 PSI but the amount of air that is moved is massive ......... i keep looking at the turbo in the workshop of a 15 litre cat and thinking can i shoe horn this sucker in
oh and get spares they do still wear and break but not as near as much as the worm drives
