About to do this deed myself on a 4.5L GU with a safari snorkel, and best of all no need for any silicone except for drain hole under air filter. Just waiting on 111mm hole saw which is in the post.
Had a 1999 GU ST Patrol 4.5L Auto on Dual Fuel ...now have a 2003 GU ST ZD30TD Auto.

I put a safari on my GQ and needed silicone where it joined the air box still. If there's any chance water can get in use silicone and LOTS of it
