URGENT HELP PLEASE - How to drain reserve tank
Hi all,
Ok what is the quickest and easiest way to drain the reserve tank?
Does it have a bung or do I need to undo the transfer hose?
I’ll be back online line in about an hour.
Cheers

If its just petrol, you could siphon as much as possible out, then fill with diesel. Also fill the main with diesel. Then start the car and as you use up fuel put a little from the res into the main and top up the res. A little petrol in the diesel will not hurt the motor and doing it this way should really dilute it. Just top up with diesel as often as possible for a while and it will be OK.

I agree with 4by4 , if your reserve tank has just been topped up with 16 litres it's about a 50-50 mix now so just do as above but make sure reserve is filled with diesel if you haven't already topped it up.

Thanks for the responses, will have a look on Saturday and empty the tank. Being a CRD not game to try diluting the mixture.

Where is the fuel transfer pump located? I've only had a quick look as the car is outsize and the weather here has been crap.
