    Hi People

    IS $250 a tyre a good price for bridgestone Duelers - 275/65R17.....

And would this tyre be appropriate for drive from Melb - through the Kimberleys & back

    Cheers

Is there multiple duelers still or have they dropped them?
Imo for a trip like that you want more of a AT tyre than road tyre..
At $250 each it could be either..
Any more details on the tyre?
    Cheers

From Bridgestone I'd go either the 604V or the D693 as a good AT pattern..
You may have been priced a road tyre like the D697 or the dueler hp sport..

The 697 is their top of the range AT, so if its that you have been priced then go for it. Especially their new version of the 697. Stay away from the 693's...crap written all over them thats why Nissan pust them n new Patrols...LOL

I ran the 693's on the gq at one stage.
A bit more highway then and they went great.. still good grip off road..
    Around 80,000 from a set.
But imo not as good off road as the 604..
    Haven't run the 697.

I have 697LT (265/75/16LT) for Kimberleys trip and no problems so far- 13,000klm.
697 is the AT but make sure they are made in Japan and not elswhere and make sure they as LT as some are not.
I paid $240 a tyre at an authorised Bridgestone dealer in Hervey Bay so perhaps the non Japanese are sold through other outlets.
First set on new vehiclere -not sure if 693 or 694's in 2006 gave 120,000klm without a problem
At the end of the day, all you have is yourself and all you need is your friends (and in our case our Patrol)

D697’s are AT tyres, LT construction, & with one of the best load carrying limits in the class. I paid $275 each for mine (265/75LT) about 15 months ago from a Bridgestone dealer. IMO $250 is a good price for a good tyre.

    I'd hit em up..
Rim and tyre combos will usually always get you better prices compared to going to seperate places..
