For me, I would use silastic on 21045J, it will help hold it in place as you install the housing. Put a bit in the o-ring recess and push the o-ring down into it. For 11072 and 21014 Permatex would be better as Tim suggested. Silastic will still work if that's what you have, but the Permatex is better.

edit; I use blue silastic. The only Permatex I've used (as far as I know there is only one type) is the one that looks like liquid vegemite.

Yeah that's the one Tony. I was put onto it years ago when I fitted V8 radiator to 6 cyl HZ

Thanks for your help i'll have a look at repco and supadear tommrw, there's that many different ones out there!!!!
