On our Simpson trip last year we also found the mozzies not so bad at Dalhousie but the time before they were the worst I had seen. Fly nets are a must, take spares incase you misplace them.

They sold them over the Bar at Mt Dare pub too.

I’m almost ready, postman has finally delivered my stick mag and lube kindly advised by others also to safeguard worst case/timing once personally experienced too for potential RR Fever Love
It certainly is greasy stuff, there may not be any left prior to departure

Don’t forget to bring a bag of firewood please for Dalhousie and the 3 nights across the simpson, there will be nothing available north of port Augusta and I don’t know if we can get any there but imagine we can. I’ll bring my firepit and also some heat beads as they work well with a few lumps of wood

Haven’t read my Booklet yet Stroppstar but unfortunately don’t remember us being allowed or not a fire at Dalhousie on a Covid days work trip
We certainly didn’t have one at camp, poor memory but think the voluntary caretakers there said no way IIRC

Dr Google says fires ok at Dalhousie outside of Nov to March due to fire hazard and must in permanent fire pits

Spent the day cooking and vacuum packing meals, just finished the chicken kofta and also a slow cooked stew to be vacuum packed tomorrow when it cools down, on the home run now 😁
