I'm not sure how you tell, or if there is an inlet and outlet side to the pump, but in the 'features' screen grab you posted it states that it has a "Special valve for liquid input and output".
Maybe the hoses are hooked up the wrong way round and the valve is stopping the full flow?

I did try it both ways (briefly)and it seems to be the way I left it was the correct way, but I will definitely be checking everything again. I'm sure that with me rushing I've missed something simple..

I don’t mean to tell you how to suck eggs mate, but sometimes simple things are the cause. Are all hose joints air tight? There are no hose clamps at the pump connections in your photo.

I ran out of clamps and I wasn't go back to Bunnings for the 3rd time. I'll pick up a couple more on the way home during the week. They were a snug fit, but yeah they do need clamps..

I think this refers to the diaphragm valve inside the pump so it sucks in liquid and the valve closes then the diaphragm discharges against the closed seal, pretty normal, there will be a flow arrow on the pump and if connected with correct polarity it should work but its only self priming with a positive head on the inlet side i suspect. To improve operation a check valve could be mounted in the supply line from the tank to the pump so water does not siphon back away from the pump, pretty cheap way to resolve that, as jaysee said its going to be a simple fix.water

Had a chance to have a good look today..

So, the stupid design of this tank means that there are 2 outlets one at each end. What I tried to do is connect the 2 into one.

While full it works good, 20lts later once the water is in its 2 separate compartments it coughs and splatters.

Now I think I will run 2 separate lines, one at each end.

While tank is full has good pressure

I think I'm going to call the mob that I got it from and have a chat with them first.

A 3 way valve would probably work and that might be the way to go..

What are you expecting or wanting to get from the tank and pump? Are you looking to fill a pot or use it for a quick shower or wash mud from a clogged radiator? I think this is the starting point in all honesty. Linking the hoses or running them singly will get you the same result as the inlet head is the same. You just achieve twice the volume to draw down. If you want a higher pressure then consider a small pressurised accumulator like they use in a boat water system. Like this one. I was going to use it on my radiator spray bar to even out the diaphragme pump pulse, but in the end it wasn't necessary.https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/18638198...FjSaNNYKBjw9sD

I'm happy with the flow and how it works, but I'm only getting the top part of the water out approx 20 lts with good flow, then it looks like it's sucking air.
