Travel Buddy deep trays worth it?
Just trying to work out if it’s worth buying a travel buddy deeper dish for our long trips?
I just have the standard trays in which work fine for pastry things and I only purely use mine for basic camping naughty treat lunch stops not dinners.
Am I missing tasty naughty lunch treats whilst driving if I had a deep tray?

I bought one from road runner a few years ago, just helps with messy foods. You can take it out and wash it rather than having to clean the inside of the oven.
That's about all you're missing out on. Pie explosions are easier to clean.

Does it burn or change ways of cooking because the bottom tray now sits on element or no difference?
I do like a tray for movement in vehicle, I have had explosions coming up Barkley River Jeep Tk lol

Nah there is an air gap under it, it kinda sits tight between the two racks. Nothing has burned yet, you do get a little crispy on the bottom side so I turn them half way so it's crispy on the top and bottom.

You could buy the trivet that is avail for the standard travel buddy oven - I have that but not used it yet. It will provide the air gap to stop the burning

Yeah I've got a Roadrunner tray in mine, bloody brilliant holds everything in nice, totally avoids messy disasters on those rough tracks. Cooks well probably better as the steel holds heat and crisps it up well especially with the pie upside down trick to get the top crispy. . .
