Ta, tried that a short time ago, The only light which shines through is through the white plastic clip holders set into the floor, & they are all watertight.

How can I tell if door seals are rooted & need replacing?

Wacky idea as usual, wondering if whilst the flooring is still out of the cab if filling the floor pans up with say 100mm deep of water through the closed doors windows could show the drips whereabouts coming out of?

I was thinking along the same lines , only close the doors and drive back into the river and mark the leak points, might result in slightly less water to clear up?

Thanks embee, peebee & bee-razilian - legends! I need to use the car. All back together yesterday. Drove it for the first time this morning, not through any water & was relieved the strange sound I had heard as I was driving home from the dunking was no longer there. It was an odd sound coming from the rear of the car. Wasn't running water, but I now wonder if it was the filled chassis emptying & water maybe hitting the spinning prop shaft & being flung back upwards under the car. Have never heard it after other water crossings though.
Seems very obvious to me now that moving through water & stopping in water (at least more than momentarily) are very different events with different consequences.

Good point, mine certainly do. Wonder if that the reason there is the plastic sheet glued onto the door under the fabric/masonite door card?
