Take a look at the Nitto ridge grappler also. It has the durability and off-road capability of an MT but still, comfortable and can perform well on dry/wet pavement like an AT.

Patrol Guru
I put some 285/75R16 Maxxis AT811 tyres on my GU in May.
I just did a trip from Melbourne up to Fraser Island and I was really impressed with how they went on the sand.
They also have very little road noise traveling on the freeway.
I've done about 6,500kms with them so far and the thread depth is 11.0mm - 11.3mm.

haven't done a lot of 4wd dirt since having the 811's but they definitely grip well on wet bitumen (my wife has her confidence back since i got it remapped)

I really liked the Maxxis RAZR AT811 tires. I recommend! Rakes like Cooper ST Maxx, but handles better! Much quieter than the BFG Ko2, but wears out faster! At speeds up to 110, almost like a regular highway rubber! Slightly floppy in corners...(at speeds over 80kmh). Over 120 km/h, the feeling of holding onto the road goes to the plus side with every other km!!!
