Finally got around to making and installing the shelf for the rear door. All from bits and pieces I had on hand except for the piano hinge. Even set up a light up top. Tried it out in anger during a few days away last week. I'd call it a success.

The old rusted sliding window frames have been bugging me as has the tired interior door cards. Gone solid glass and new 2mm thick plastic cards. Looking less like a shit box both inside and out.

Next are new injectors and glow plugs.

Advanced
Recently had a snorkel installed and picked up a carry me camper which lead to needing a reversing camera.
IMG_20210524_095904_7_01.jpg
Squeezed the CIG power plug into the overhead light panel
IMG_20210522_193646_2.jpgIMG_20210522_194724_3.jpg
Then had to swap the power from battery to accessory in the fuse box which also took out the clock but there is plenty of other clocks including one in the mirror which has its own battery.
IMG_20210523_100349_3.jpg
GPS unit stuck to the dash with wires tucked behind the windscreen rubber.

12" mirror was a snug fit so I chopped a bit off the sun visor mount so that they could sit out a little wider. Then I moved the mirror mount a bit and ground it down so that it sits higher and closer to the windscreen but then it needed a bit more chopped off the end so that the overhead lights would fit back up.

Wire for the rear camera is routed around the windscreen rubber to the top of the drivers door trim then out below the rear window and ended up with a foot or two to spare.

For anyone that is interested it is a WOLFBOX Mirror Dash Cam $190 on amazon.au
Also the Snorkel dropped EGT ~40c probably more in hot weather when it is borderline boiling.

Keen to see what you think of that camera unit after a little bit of time mate, it looks awesome and the price is right. I need to do something in my wagon.

Smart like tractor
I made a little frame up to house my compressor and tank. I just need to sort some conduit and an anderson plug out for the supply cables and it'll be good enough for a bit
Once I get my new canopy, that whole setup will end up on runners and built into a bigger frame with outlets between the tray and cab

Nah, bolt left loose by a shitty mechanic who replaced the head years ago before I owned it. Removed head, cleaned stuff, we can rebuild it!🤪💩75B7CDEA-799D-4785-A374-7218D5E426A7.jpeg
