Took a grandkid out to Swan lake via Mt Richmond. Sad to see a lot of tracks are now limestone roads, but we had a blast on the rest. There were a quite a few campers at the Swan Lake campground. It is worth coming down here to get on the dunes.
Just don't book a time the buggy club is having an event.

I performed a donut and we got stuck in some soft sand on the weekend. The tyres were already at 15psi, so I tried a different method I had seen on Youtube. I selected 1st low and accelerated gently. It took a bit of time, but it worked.
The Old Trol bucked a bit but clawed its way slowly out of the sand. It would have been smoother in an auto or with crawl control, but it worked, even though we were going up a long low dune.

I reckon a reduction gear set would make this work better and be easier on the whole drive train.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
