Been working on the Hiace Commuter, fitted a fridge stand, now moving onto the second battery & charger. Blacked out the windows with that plasticy black corrugated cardboard stuff.
Found a card table so we can sit opposite each other inside when the weather gets lousey & play scrabble. Might be buying a queen mattress to leave in the back so we can just go away with a few minutes notice.
I can fit, could fit, the Patrol wheels onto it. It takes a Hilux diff so I could even put a rear locker in it, but ..... won't be doing any of that.

Yeah wouldn't it. Years ago I had a Mitsubishi L300 4x4, one of the vans and put 31s on that, it looked great.

Is your Hiace a 4x4? We had a '95 Spacia which we got 500000 ks out of, but it couldn't even drive on wet grass, so we contemplated getting a 4x4 version.

nah, just a 2wd. It's our soft camper. If I decide to get a bit more serious with it I'll throw a winch on it. Apparently the Hilux LSDs bolt straight in, but not interested really, it's not for that sort of thing.
