Also, the fact , that I entered the store unchecked, therefore I assumed all was well.... I doubt cops would have bought that either.
Supposedly cops are pulling tradie utes/vans over , after leaving Bunnings , checking that they're not buying non trade / domestic items ...

fair enough. i cant see police wasting their time on stuff like that though? maybe closer to the CBD? if i can justify any purchase made at bunnings to the wife, im sure it will fly with the cops lol. bud seriously, what rule would you be breaking? if the thing your buying is essential then i dont see the problem? i am not a tradesperson, but on friday i hit a tap on the bobcat i had hired, i am not a plumber but i am perfectly capable of fixing it myself. having water at my house is an essential living item for my family, surely under those circumstances buying a replacement riser(in my case) is perfectly acceptable?

So many grey areas, such little time for rules to be written on hundreds if not thousands of possible scenarios for being out and about within 5km too. I think we all just need to be practical and do what we can, where we can, if truly and unselfishly needed for a few more weeks. Our little garden supplies has experienced grandpa & grandmas turning up with 6x4 trailers for desperately needed lockdown redgum heat. Office lady kindly advises over the fence they need to park opposite then phone guides them through credit card payment before a loader is UHF called to load their trailer in our turning circle at the gates. Crushed rock and rubble has been another sort after product for people’s driveways recently washed away and self fixing needs after contactless dumping delivery ASAP!

We have a big sign out the front of our shop saying "Due to COVID Restrictions. No walk in orders, all orders MUST be phoned in and paid prior to collection". Then they get upset with me when I politely tell them they cannot do this. So then they stand there in front of me and ring us up with a smug look and order their goods. I soon wipe that smug off their face when I tell them it will be around 2 hours to get their order ready. Knowing that I could probably do it straight away in a couple of minutes...

So we can’t start the extension on the house now until stage 4 lockdown is over apparently. No new works are allowed to commence, existing works can still go ahead. Looks like being finished by Christmas is just a dream now. Trying to orchestrate Freedom to come in when the walls are up to do their final measurements so they can build the kitchen in time for Christmas will be a struggle, also getting the HVAC guys in as well. Plus get all the windows and doors made. Bloody hell, my head hurts just thinking about it.

Yeah bloody frustrating to say the least. We’ve been at this since January 2019, ages... Only to have another set back.
