Has anybody ever had luck in retrieving files from a corrupt SD card? The Micro SD card from my phone shat itself and the phone won't recognise it. I connected it directly to my computer and it shows that the drive is there but with no files. I've tried a couple of file retrieval programs and they both recognised it as a "lost partition" but neither of them could find my files after doing a long scan.
I stupidly did not have them backed up and it looks like I am going to lose 10 years worth of photos!
EDIT: I'm fairly sure the files are still there, these programs recognised that there was approx 30Gb of data written on the card.

I found the free retrieval programs don’t work well. Once I had to pay to get my external HDD retrieved and got 99.4%of my data back for 100 bucks.
Now everything in on google cloud storage mate. Cheap as chips

The master farter
Bought this yesterday to replace the annoying secondary wifi modem. What a god send! Sitting right next to the unit my speeds are so much faster than the original wifi router we had. No more dead spots anywhere in the house, and outside to for the fact.

I've just managed to find all my photos up until March 2018 stored on the Samsung cloud, but the last 2 years are missing. At least we will have all Isla's kiddie photos but will be missing all Billie's and a few good holidays.
Anyway I've learned a very valuable lesson and have bought an external HDD to keep everything backed up.
