Fuel consumption?
Gday guys,
Looking at buying my first 4wd. Ive found a 2007 Patrol ST-L 3.0L turbo diesel (auto) that im keen on. Its got a 125L tank. As ive never had a bigger car that drinks a bit before, im unsure really what to expect in terms of my mileage and how much im going to be paying to fill her up. Does anyone have any rough ideas as to how much it costs them per 1000kms/how many L/100km they get.
Cheers for the help and sorry if ive posted this in the wrong spot

Expert
I use around 11 to 12 l/100k but that is very little city driving, an only towing a box trailer occasionally. Jumps quite a bit off-road of course. I think that is on the low end as I don't push hard most of the time.

The 3 litres are quite frugal on fuel
Just note though. Some CRD automatics went odd and drank around 15 to 16L per hundred no matter what.
I dont know how they went over time with this.
In saying this. The CRD can be tuned

Patrol God
I have 165ltr in two tanks and it costs me about $210 to fill
when diesel is around $1.50 a litr.
You should return no more than 15ltr per 100ks
This is pending on tyre size ,tyre pressure. etc
and driving style.
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

Advanced
I've got a 2004 3.0 auto. Has a suspension lift, 33 inch tyres, roof rack and bullbar and I usually get about 12.5L/100kms.
Based on that you should be getting 1000kms per tank (if you're brave enough to run it that low!!)
