What is funny though, is no sooner is one installed that someone runs into it and it needs repairs. I have seen this up Shepparton way, and going down the freeway to Warragul also. Based on what I see on the promo advert, they work well, certainly better than armco railing, so if they save one life, money well spent.
Id hate to hit one whilst on a motorbike. Great decapitation device.

You are correct, however I arrived at the site of a motorbike accident in Moorabbin at a roundabout fitted with armco and the rider lost his head when he was flung off his bike and sliced thru the railing - body on one side, head and helmet on the other, horrible scene.

So I was building and dismantling a couple of shows yesterday, the one I was taking apart was the all energy show.
There were a lot of Chinese exhibitors there and at the end of the show they all picked up everything on their stand took it out to the dock and piled it up to be thrown out.
I just couldn't believe the waste, see photo below but I'm talking countless chairs and other furniture, brand new (used for 3 days) rolls of carpet, TONS of lighting and more...
I actually pulled out a solar panel from the rubbish to take home, it's a 2000x1000 400wh panel. Nothing wrong with it, Just going in the bin.
@the evil twin do you know anything about that stuff mate? Can I just grab a 49v DC to 12v DC regulator to step it down to 12 volt?

Legendary
Couple of hippie dudes camped near us on the last trip had a house solar panel running through a $4.50 solar regulator and reckon it worked perfect but can't vouch for it .
Mind you they did have a motorbike chained to the bulbar while driving so pretty rough .

Thanks mate I had a quick look on eBay, I can get a regulator to bring it down to 12v with up to 20a output obviously depending on the input for about $20. I'll give it a shot

I am he, fear me
@rusty_nail
grab that panel mate... you don't need a converter.
any decent MPPT solar reg will take 60 to 75 VDC input and "convert" it to the system volatage IE 12 or 24 (in your case 12).
I like Victron but there are others... either of these would do (30 or 50) https://www.victronenergy.com/solar-...rs/mppt-100-30

Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.
