The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

I think the OP means which bit of the plug do you squeeze to get it to disengage from the socket... been so long now since I've done one that I forget and windows 10 makes looking it up in the manual a PIA
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

Damn it. I had mine in my hand last night and could have taken a better look for you. I didnt unplug it though i just had to take it out of its socket. I have relocated mine to the gear stick surround so i can see it rather than the stupid spot they put it in the GUIV.
If you can upload a pic or download Tapatalk to your phone and upload from there we can try and figure it out.

Patrol God
Most socket sections will have a metal style cup to hold it fast he plug sections will either have a screw to pull it apart like the the red section will unscrew from the black body, please avoid this style very cheap and unreliable, but either a merit style [european] or maybe a 50 amp anderson style. bullet proof imo

Squeeze that lug in the centre and wriggle (the plug that is)
