Just found this on my computer...lol
One of our first forum meet ups at Loveday 4wd park in South Australia many many moons ago!
It was a mud fest and my radiator fell apart and alternator died.
Had a 10 hour drive back home, no charge to battery, turned everything off, car overheating and the last leg of the trip I had 4 volts on the battery.
This reminded me of the signals I was doing to people behind me, wrong I know but I had minimal options and just wanted to get home.

Sounds familiar, my first visit to Loveday my radiator blocked up and alternator stopped working.
I pulled my alternator apart while I was there and got it working again, was just mud in the brushes.
Got as much mud out of the radiator as I could while there and pulled it out to clean it properly at home.
Learnt my lesson that week, never play in Loveday mud.
Hehehe... the old school hand signals eh... they missed the 7th and most important tho.
Still legal and still a legal requirement for older vehicles without lights or newer with inoperative lights and you won't get booked for giving them.
Indeed you can be booked if you don't.
Well, at least thats still the law in WA, SA and QLD AFAIK, dunno about other states

Going under the knife in just over 2 weeks to resolve a multitude of sins. lol.
Today, I'm having my last alcoholic drink - ever. Actually, I've had 5 and on my last one. PML.
For the special occasion, I've chosen Corona and lemon.
Can't wait to get jabbed on my spider with the mild pre-op sedative, and hope I can party, party, party before the jungle juice kicks in. lol.
The surgeon has seen my Australiana tattoo collection and said he might have to do a 'nose job' on my shark. lol.
After surgery, it's 2 weeks in the big smoke on sick leave! What more could a man want?
Seriously, as long as I manage my pain properly until I fully recover, I'll be fine.
I guess it's like deciding whether or not to take my ute for a mud bath or not. It's a 'no brainer, I think. PML.
