In my old GQ.. the first time on the sand.. and when i learnt the hard way by having a cruiser to recover me.. The loud pedal doesn't always fix the problem lol

Winching through the slop with a Pajero in tow getting skull dragged behind. Pretty much skull dragged the thing for most of this track, about 10K and took us around 7 hours! This hill had to re-locate 4 or 5 times and something awkward happened at the top which not too many people know about. . .

Hmmm, guess I'm kinda committed now haha. . . Let's just say had a bit of a Russel Coight moment, and it was a looong day ! ! Got to the top with Pajero in tow after about 5 different pulls on this hill and many other winches to get to it including turnnig around and securing to a tree to winch up the Paj with extensible straps etc. Anyway got to the to of this one on level ground with the Paj somewhere safely behind just round a corner. Got out and un hitched everything from the tree then tuned around to see the car starting to roll backwards down the hill. Think i looked at it in shock the thought HOLEY F#@K and just ran and jumped in in time. Lucky I turned around in time, just made it, think the dude in the Paj would have s#!t himself haha. Lucky he was just out of sight & none the wiser. . . If it were a Land Cruiser i could blame the hand brake but not really in a GQ . . .WOOPS, guess alls well that ends well . . .

Yeah i think i was lulled into a false sense of security. Thought "oh the winch rope is attached it's safe" . . . Forgot the bit about taking it off the tree and not being so safe anymore . . .
