GUII Central locking has developed a mind of its own
Righto. This is really starting to give me the ships.
The Central locking has been fine since buying the car some five years ago. But it has developed an annoying habit. If I press the unlock button on the remote (Aftermarket Warlock KG400 system fitted a few years ago) not all the doors will unlock. Its usually the rear barn door and the rhs rear door. I know on the barn door that when pressing the unlock button, the door will, unlock then lock itself. I think the rhsr door does the same. But I know it does not unlock. If I press lock and unlock multiple times on the remote it will eventually do whats its supposed to do and just unlock.
I dont even know where to start on this? Any clues peoples? @Yendor, Please! Buddy?!

Yeah I think I will remove the drivers door mech and give it a good clean. Although this door doesn't have the issue, it is the "master lock" I suppose you call it so it could just be dirty contacts or something in the lock.

I found it was dry and dirty bushing in the locks and all the little linkages wouldn't hurt to give anything associated with it a good spray

Yeah I will do this anyway I think, even if it doesn't help with the issue. They have never been touched before....

I’m with fat mick, remove the individual doors trims of the locks that are playing up and clean and lube the mechanism.
It doesn’t sound electrical so I don’t think your problem will be in drivers door. It sounds like the mechanism is binding causing the actuator to return back to the locked position.
Fat mick, if your vehicle is a GU it may pay to replace the locking mechanism if it plays up again. It’s common for them to wear causing the door to be stuck shut and can prove very difficult to get the door open.

Update. I just went and check all doors, and all doors will unlock then lock except for the drivers door.

Depends on the way they have wired it up as to what issue it may be as theres a couple of ways to wire them up.
There is a green relay box thingo in the dash just above the ciggie lighter. As i understood it when i installed my aftermarket kit the drivers door would send a signal to that and then unlock all the rest from there.
My drivers door originally wouldn't unlock but was able to send a pulse out (cant remember if it was positive switch or negative) to this box to unlock the rest. Turned out to be dirty contacts on the mechanism in the drivers door that was causing me issues.
So maybe clean up this box too

It’s going to make it harder with the aftermarket keyless entry system fitted to try and diagnose this.
If you sit in the passengers from seat with the doors locked and try and unlock the doors via the snub button in the passengers front door, does all the doors unlock including the drivers front door?
