So fed up with the Warn winch I have now, every time I want to use it, it fails! That's 2 Warns kark it in 12 years, for what they charge I was hoping for a better service life.
Snigging firewood logs Tuesday and it died again aarrrgggh.
The brushes get stuck in the slides they are located in and as the motor is not solidly attached to the winch it moves around and pushes the little buggers away from the commutator. This is the 6th time I've tried to fix this.
So a 12000lb fits, up from 9500lb and hopefully ticks the boxes. About half the price of a Warn too.
Cheers

You can buy a bracket to suit the way you're mounting your bar.
I brought a pair so I can fit a 42" single row along the side.
I'll try and find the link again, or just type in bullbar brackets
Sunyee and Vic Off Road sell them for about $20 a pair
just need to find the correct size. Protect your bar with a
few wraps of electrical tap when fitting them.

Looked at reviews Winnie and water was noted by one and heaps of others said they had no problems, the question is if the actually serviced them and had a look inside.
That was the trouble with the Warns, water did get in but not all of it drains out of the drain hole. On a warm day it condensates all over the insides causing corrosion.

you could pressurise it using an airhorn motor and a needle valve.
You'd need to drill and tap a hole for the air fitting

You spend mega bucks on a winch and have to fit something to keep the water out and the thing plays up , $199 from Aldi and still going strong after 4-5 years and got me out of trouble heaps of times .
Also used it to straighten the shed and pulled a few stumps out .
