Water in my transmission
Hi guys
I've unfortunately been the victim of water attacking my transmission. I've got a 2000 GUII AUTO ZD30 and I rang a transmission shop and got quoted $4000 for a complete rebuild including fitment.
Can anybody give me any advice for the roller coaster that this is.
I am truely gutted about this happening
Have drained the water out of the trans and it's sitting on the street

Yeah I've had a few friends who were unfortunate enough to get dicked over from the second hand box as well.
Not sure if I'd rather get one rebuilt or have a gamble with a second hand box

Do you know where the water came from Jack , was it from the radiator or did you have some submarine action .

Yeah what's annoying is they already have one so just get someone to block of the entry into the radiator and redirect it to the seperate oil cooler

Mines a GQ , so only have the radiator but the tran oil coolers are cheap as chips , going to fit a temp gauge as well so I better get on with it .
My radiator is only a couple of years old .
