All the bolts sheered off the viscous coupling... Fan went through the radiator and the auto filled with water.... nice little repair bill 3 days after purchase! It's all fixed now but there's a noise when shifting from park to reverse. It is possible that it's just the driveline coming under tension and I'm just paranoid!

Hello matt amd welcome to the forum, enjoy...
As for the noise get the auto serviced first.
and yes it could be taking up all the back lash
from the drive train. Then again the noise
could be normal.
where abouts in Melb are you??
04 ST 3lt auto, not enough Mods to keep me happy, but getting there

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
