My 2001 GU
This thread is basically to log my experiences with the Patrols evolution. When I first got it home things were not quite so good, what with the wobble and somewhat asthmatic motor (have had a bit of a rant elsewhere in the forum) however after a few bumps in the road stumbled into On and Off Road Brendale and haven't looked back so to speak. Am not affiliated in any way but just wanted to say I have found them to be exceptional with regards to product knowledge, workmanship, advise and just plain good old customer service. I say this having worked in "customer service" for over 30 years myself in one form or another
First visit sorted out the front @80kph wobble, this was a huge relief personally, then asked about some not too expensive engine performance improvements to which they suggested 3" exhaust and a general once over would do wonders. So all the belts and hoses were changed out, also pulled out the radiator and cleaned all the vanes out from accumulated spoil. Installed a manual boost controller and had a tune. Well it felt like a different car after that work so very happy at that point. Now after reading about Muddrunners GQ and now AB's awesome car recently, feeling I need more power... anyway...

That awning tent was just so cheap, the kids definately have fun in there

updated the speakers and installed a decent alarm system and central locking.
Just installed the Snorkel, again this one thing has changed how the engine runs, doubt they did anything under the hood but definately feel a change in how its revving, though nothing spectacular

the Raw shocks have had there day pretty rough even through the carpark so looking at getting them replaced along with fixing the broken drivers seat as I feel am sliding through the gap between the backrest and seat, have been using my jumper to jam in there along with one of the rear floormats to help stop that sinking feeling...

Might be a dumb question, but where's the intercooler on this? Does it come factory without a scoop?
Actually nevermind, I did some Googling after posting - didn't realise turbo diesel Patrols came without an IC. The more you know...
