4.1 are cheap and dime a dozen.
4.3 thou will correct 35's to near stock ratio but they are sort after, which in turn fetches more $$$

Yeah i went from 4.3 to 4.1 after the conversion and i sold my 4.3s for more than what i paid for the 4.1s. Around 50bux and you can change the speedo gear so its right too.

I've had no idea same gear ratio and they can be different spline sizes. It's good to know. Thanx mate.
P.S. Matching the pumpkin code(H233B,etc) doesn't always help?!!

The speedo sensor is located on the left side toward the rear of the gearbox. There will be an electrical lead running to it. A single 12mm, i think its 12mm, hex bolt holds the sensor in. Undo the bolt, remove the sensor, a little oil will come out but not much.
You then need to see what colour the gear is. This will determin what tooth count it is. Red is 15, yellow is 16, blue is 17 and black is 18tooth.
If you put larger tyres on, you need to put a smaller tooth gear on as the speedo will read too low. So a smaller gear will increase the rotations in the sensor. The change is about 6% difference between each gear...
I sell the gears in my store. But if you work out which one you need, let me know and you get a member discount.

Edit: Sorry Dom. This is for the GU's only. Can't be done this way with the Q's as the gears are rare as rocking horse poo. I do believe some people mess with the signals sent to the speedo itself with something. It has been documented here...

For the GQ? I'm yet to find anyone with enough stock. As I would buy 20-30 of each gear. I contacted Nissan Japan, US and the UK, and they wanted a stupid price for what they had left and they are no longer in production. So I left it at that. There is a way to adjust the GQ speedo. Im pretty sure of it. Something to do within the speedo head itself I think.
