Wish I'd taken it out of it's Nissan packet before leaving feedback. As it is I phoned the dealership this morning & the bloke in the parts department was pretty helpful, he has to consult with his boss but he agreed that I should be sent a replacement. Looks like I'll have to avoid locking my door for a while longer. Amazing how you just take the ability to secure your vehicle for granted until you can't!
Looks like growler has been at it first. Refund and order one from Dubai?
Cheers

I assume you have to send the damaged one back?
If not it would be good to dissect that one and have a good look inside to see the pin that wears out

Not sure if it needs to be returned yet. I told them I’d be happy to return it if they cover the postage, & they asked for a photo of the damage so they can make a claim to Nissan. The chap who will make the decision about it being returned isn’t there until next Tuesday. I have the impression that they may not want it back but will have to wait & see.

May I suggest a liberal application of the Clunk Universal Malfunction Correction Tool to the lock before the pic.
I am sure the lock will then be yours for all eternity
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.

Surely you meant the Clunk Universal Nocking Tool ET?
Too late the pics already been sent. I reckon there is a good chance they'll tell me to keep it, but if not there is the old one to pull apart & examine.
