All serious now
After much toin an frowin decided to go down the path of water to air. It was a toss up between ARE and Mehl Brothers Performance both up in Brisvagas. At the time of lookin ARE were having some issues with their core supplier and at that time were not sellin their set up so off I went to Mehl Bros and they got the nod.
They supplied and fitted the w/a intercooler, inlet manifold ,oil cooler, piping kit from air cleaner to turbo and tune. The tune included time on dyno,valves and injector service. Of couse the complete EGR system was removed. Now I can get at the oil filters a lot easier. This was the main reason I went for this set up just kiddin ha ha .
So as per original post I am in the process of sussin out the original scoop to see if I can get better airflow ala A9X Torana and Chevy camaro.

mate sounds like an awsome setup, just wonderin how its going. any issues pop up since the install. How was it dealing with Mehl Bros. Was the pricing ok. not sure who to go with between On and off Road Brendale and Mehl Bros Northside for my bog stock 4.2 which i love but recon it needs a little hurry along.
