The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
WARNING: Towballs used for recoveries can, and do kill people and damage property.

Although it is serious I still think it is a joke. If tigerz11 were in the food industry they would have bought us Nanna's frozen berries

They have copped a smack in the mouth with those tests that were done and published..... good stuff.
Hope there are no cases of injury because of them.

This will certainly give them a worse Brand name now. Wow.

As soon as I seen this thread I thought it might be fallout from the recent destruction tests. But seriously if anyone buys a cheap arse Chinese snatch strap they are asking for it. Definitely only Buy quality on something that can produce some serious amounts of energy.

Apprentices Rule!!!
Yep just saw this. With the recent destruction test. They had to do something, although, they have only recalled a certain batch, probably because the straps tested fall within that category.
However, if you have any strap of this type, I'd be replacing it with a quality brand. The extra $50 is well worth your life.

Never buy safety/recovery gear because its cheap. It's cheap for a reason.[crape]
wait the extra week and buy a quality brand name ,and read the label.
A strap for a shorty might not suit a ute or a wagon for that matter.
Bigger does not mean better, you want the strap to perform as it was designed too.

For all I know, my ARB branded one could fail the first time I use it, just as much the Tigerz11 one failed. But in general I tend to stick to, you get what you pay for.
The people at 4wdsuperstore have trouble sending out stuff when you buy it, some people wait for months. I'd love to see how quick they will exchange straps or refund people on this magnitude. All I can say is good luck. They have a bad name as it is let alone after this.
I know several people who have bought their winches and had endless trouble from day 1 before they have even fitted the thing, let alone used them. I wouldn't trust my patrol hanging off that thing, that is for sure.
