How's the serenity
Ok not good news mate. Don't tell your wife until she returns. As for what you do next I don't know. Only you and your wife need make those decisions.
The price of excellence is dicipline , the cost of mediocrity is dissapointment .

It's Johnno's call, but why not find out at least? George has probably got a bit of an idea of what's realistic to do or needed.
I know the forum has been down a dark path with getting stuck in to help someone before, but I think this could turn out different. So many people know BA and just from the forum I can tell it would turn out different. I'd be surprised if there weren't people willing to help chip in something? Some bits or some cash? I know it's a tight time of year for most people, but lots of little bits add up. Even if a few can give something it offset things a little?
It's one thing to have me tagging along not in a Nissan, but imagine if this is game over for Nissan's for BA? C'mon he's part of this place?
Not trying to put pressure on anyone and maybe I'm not being realistic, but worth a thought? There's nothing else practical I could do other than chip in a little bit.
Thanks, Cameron

Yeah, well said. I'm happy to help with baisic labor and or financial and im sure many others are too. I know things have turned sour before and you don't want to set a prcedent but think this is pretty blody well justified. I've been enjoying my motor trouble free for years, its really s#!t jonos had to go through all of this, should be enjoying it by now. (Jono & family). It would be a big shame to throw in the towel at this stage.

Not only that guys but our friend Johnny needs emotional support too, we can only imagine how much stress this is putting on his entire family.
If anything is gonna get him through this it will be knowing how many friends he has willing to give him a hand up.
There is only so many cuddles this poo bear can give!

The master farter
I have just pméd BA with three different kit prices, also with hi volume pump, turbo squirters etc etc. I can get these kits in a day or two. Might just need someone to do the picking up of the parts if BA wants to go this way or not. Time to help out is really restricted for me right now. I know people are wary of doing this kind of thing again as Cameron has stated but he's a mate and I will do as much as I can to help out. I want throw in a couple of hunge on parts just to help out.
BA needs this like a hole in the head. He's gone too far with this already. To see him yesterday morning all happy and chirpy, then to see his face as the truck stop wasn't a good thing.
Its time we stepped in and help out.

Crank will need to be measured and possible linished, repaired or replaced.

Does the td have a common crank with the tb42?
If it does, I can pull the crank from my stripped down tb42 for you.
