Unlock Australia
Today we went to the rally run by Roothy in Neerim South.
It was a rally to make the Government aware of the opinions of all Outdoors lovers who do not want the bush or any outdoors closed to us.
There were over 1,000 people who attended and listened to Roothy and Co. tell us that if in November Labour or the Liberals get into power we are literally going to be locked out of the bush and all parks permanently. These areas will be left to grow wild and will be overcome by feral animals (Kept under control by Hunters at the moment) also blackberries and undergrowth which is such a massive fire risks as we have seen in the recent years.
Unfortunately the way some idiots treat the bush is playing in their favour with rubbish left around and some 4x4s and motorbikes doing the wrong thing and wrecking the areas.
It was great to see so many people there and we sure hope the message will get through.

I did not go as I wasn't around but looks like I missed out on a good day. Hopefully a lot of people there get the message that it's not okay to leave rubbish around.

Leaving rubbish is only a very small part of it, its idiots doing donuts etc in camping areas,
driving off designated tracks ,not engaging 4x4 and tearing up tracks, been going on for years.
not to mention toilet waste. it will get closed as ppl dont listen and think it fine to do what they like,
as someone else [rangers] will clean it up.
Treat the bush like its your backyard, but sadly some ppl live in a pig sty.
if you see someone doing the wrong thing take their rego ,time and brief description of
what they were doing and pass it on to the Rangers or the local Police

The "Bush Telegraph" number was 132874. This was the number to use to dob in an idiot that was doing the wrong thing in the bush (in Victoria). Haven't heard about it for a while so I'm not sure if it is still going.

The new 'Bush Telegraph' number is 131 963.
I just spoke to the lady there and they are VERY interested in being alerted to wrong doing in our bush.
