Everyone should watch this video and think about your tail shaft and uni joints. This is Very. Very Important! Check this out and have a look at yours.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.

My advice is: not to follow my advice.
would double cardan joints eliminate the vibrations though ?

Excellent video. Don't have this issue with CV's.
IMO and should be taken with a grain of salt.
Certainly. Reducing the operating angle using the double Cardan relieves the drive train allot but is also reduces the vibration they get through it.
I'm not sure that a better video could be produced to explain it. I was not aware of the oscillating nature of the I is when they are out of sinc. I did have a bit if vibration through the. GQ and adjusted the upper trailing arms to increase the pinion angle to match the gear box end and it made a huge difference. I am going to check whether the unis are lined up and sort that out too.
