Car tried to kill my missus again
Loaned the Maverick(only running on LPG after Australia day weekend) to my missus as her Pajero was in getting the A/C regassed.
Got a call "your car tried to kill me again" along with a pic of the Mav sitting at the side of the road with the bonnet up.
Throttle stuck open on her, lucky she had the wherewithall to kill the ignition without locking it and coast to a stop.
Last time it happened it was the little doofer that directs the air/fuel from the carb into the intake manifold shifting and jamming the primary butterfly open, this time it was the secondary butterfly stuck hard open. As suspected from my dramas getting home from Brindabella(refused to run on petrol) and the lack of power I had over the weekend, it looks like my carbie is munted.
The RACV guy got it running enough for Bek to limp home, but I am wondering if I should bother repairing it or just hooking into the efi conversion instead.
Either way, would prefer it hadn't happened, lol. Might have to rename the Mav to "Christine".
No real reason for this post, just wanted to vent it out..

BIG & BALD
Great she knew exactly what to do.
Lucky for her no damage except a little emotional.
I don't think my missus would think straight if it happened to her. She'd probably scream "help" and let go of the wheel. LOL
