Considering you have the tools and gu set up for touring could be easy the biggest expense would be fuel and advertising I think it could be a winner

I would really consider this option seriously Matt.. look into your outlay and a starting client base and so on but you would be surprised at how well you could do from something like this mate.

I run my own business and am slow now due to down sizing for a bit but I was working 6-7 days a week no problems and will build up the business again this spring.

I have not advertised in over 2 years as I got more work through word of mouth and just chatting to people and so on...!!

Someone like you that has a broad knowledge base that can do the little extra things at a job not just mowing the grass (wink wink) can do really well.

It is a scary step at first but after a year or so you find it easier and the clients seem to come with little trouble.

If you do try not to borrow.... start small and build with your own money that way there is less pressure if it does not work out.

Matt, anybody with your skill and knowledge could well make that work.

I don`t know Aus at all, but have read heaps of your advice and other stuff on here,no doubt about it, you know your stuff.

So what do you have too lose? I don`t know for sure, but think your single with no kids.No ties.

The only thing stopping you setting up on your own is you.I get most of my work through word of mouth,there is no better advertising,you do a few jobs,people tell thier mates,who tell thier mates,your reputation builds and away you go.

If you don`t try, in ten years time you will think "what if I had done that?", don`t be a dreamer mate, make it happen.

Grab hold of your balls and have a go mate.

I'm at glasshouse mtns on the sunny coast in qld... Looking for a nads guru... Need Dawes valve n gauges fitted... I'm getting autron gauges n not to sure bout the install of the probe... As I've said in other posts I'm not that mech minded... Willin to pay cash or do carpentry or plastering work in exchange... Will travel to bris if needed... Cheers guys
