Led light help
Hi all, have changed almost every single light on my gq patrol to led bar the headlights and the little ac button. But now when I put my foot on the brakes the dash lights/Parker lights light up for a split second. It only started happening when I changed the dash lights and center console lights to led, so I'm guessing its some sort of current draw issue. I never really wanted to put load resistors in because I like the idea of less current draw with the LEDs, but do I have any other options here?
Cheers
Andy

Your problem will be a back feed from your stop and tail light LEDs.
Try putting a blocking diode in series with each.

What did you use for the console LED and can you post pics of the console lit up at night. I have been thinking of doing the same after I did the dash.
Cheers

Cheers yendor, will give that a go.
Mine is a gq airstrike. The center console is just a t10 fitting. Will grab a pic tonight.

Should have asked, which lights should I put the diodes in? The brake lights or all the dash/console/Parker lights?

You will need to put a diode in the park light and stop light circuits at each tail light.

Here's a pic of the dash and console. I only used white LEDs as I didn't want to mess with the green dash filters. Basically looks the same as before just alot brighter.
