    Roof racks

What roof rack do you run on your GQ?
I was looking at the tigerz11 one, because they're so cheap, but i was reading some reviews on the full length one and it said that they rusted easily, and the bolts were wrong out of the box, not much good stuff (except the price)
What do you run? I was looking at the rhino racks but they seem like racks for a soft roader :P

Ditto with Clunk I have two Rhino aero style racks at the moment, supports light bar and awning, hope to get a 3rd soon and build my own flat rack to suit with all brackets to hold all accessories, IMO best rack on market.

    2 x bars cost me $260

You've basically gotta think what ya gonna use your rack for, how much weight your going to carry....... although peopla cary far more weight but your gutters are only rated to around 100-110kg. So if you get a rack that ways 50kg, that leaves ya 50-60 kg for loading..... approx 3 20ltr jerry cans

I bought a cheap 'full length' roof basket off evil bay. It was about half length, would have been perfect for a dual cab ute. It was ONLY just wide enough to fit on the gutters and was missing nearly all the hardware required to put it together, It needed 48 x 8mm nuts and had only 6. As it was adjustable, to fit the patrol it needed to be extended to the absolute maximum so there was only 2 nut and bolts per bracket holding it instead of 5. I carried a car door on it once and could see it flex. I think safe weight would be 20kg. Needless to say its removed.

I've since bought a full length cage with mounts for lights, jack and shovel. I also got an awning and bag with it. I haven't fitted it yet, but it would easily hold 100kgs. The mounts are a lot more secure as well. It came from eBay also amd was $1100 delivered.
