Even dwellingup is pretty good, and if there has been a bit of rain can be a real challenge. It's only an hour from perth and makes for some good fun.
Certainly is some good tracks down this way, some good hills and scenery around wellington dam/mills area and some really good tracks,mud/rocks,ruts, hills etc out in the mornington area...

Yep, It's a fantastic spot for beach driving and fishing, free gas bbq, drop dunny and it's a secret spot that's reserved for me only. lol
Sorry for the hyjack. I can't seem to line my roster up with the Western Patrol Club's outing, so nominate a date and I'll see if I can be there.
Remember fire season is about to start, if it already hasn't. Maybe organize a trip for Autumn if you want campfires, when the restrictions have been lifted.
Take care out there.

I don't know much about Isralite Bay, but most of the strong wind warnings, ect mention IB. I went on the south coast last February for about 12 days and it was cloudy/overcast/light drizzle for 9 days, but the last 3 days were perfect. There were 'stingers' all over the beach and we weren't game to go swimming.
Having said all that, I absolutely loved it. We were camped in a totally self sufficient spot, and it was interesting to see how we improvised to get results. We're off to the same spot again this summer holiday.
Try Googling it and see how you go.
All I can suggest is that you take clothes for all seasons, plenty of ropes, ect, to tie down your campsite, lots and lots of mozzie repellant and a decent first aid kit.
Not sure what the fishing's like.
At that time of year, I'm pretty sure camp fires, ect, will be prohibited, due to the fire season, but check with local authorities.
Enjoy and take care out there.
