October long weekend S.A
A few of us went to Blinman, an old mining town about 5-6hrs north west of Adelaide in the Flinders Rangers.
Accomadation was at the Captains Cottage, an old miners cottage revamped at the foot of an old mine. Very impressed, sleeps 10 comfortably (3 doubles 4 singles) Beds that is by the way.
No tv or phone, how peaceful. 3 minute stroll from the pub, ahhhh.
Plenty of history in the area and plenty to see with great tracks to explore with plenty of tricky bits.
Great time had by all. At the end of each day the bbq was fired up and the booze flowed, with plenty of laughs as we told our stories of the day. (TROLS RULE)
Recomended to anyone who loves to get away from suburbia with their 4b.
pics attached: hopefully they worked
Hey clack clack.
Cheers buddy, I agree mate on both comments. Love the Flinders and the bullbar.
Flinders is a great area and has some great places to go 4wheelin, we try to get up there 2-3 times a year.
Be seen be safe
I was also up there that weekend with 3 other Patrols , we were at Warraweena approx 50km north of Blinman and as your pics show the country was spectaular in colour with all the wild flowers from the rains

Yer buddy, gorgeous country after the rains. There were quite a few 4b clubs up there that weekend, the town of Blinman was chock a block with 4bs.
They have some kind of fair up there each year on the Oct long weekend, food & wine, Home made goods, (food & crafts etc) Bric a Brac, & bands. They even raffle 4bs off as well.
Great weekend to head that way for those interested, Great tracks to explore as well. Just ask at the local for some directions on tracks, very helpfull.
We were in the Blinman area late October. Spent almost 5 weeks in the Flinders. We camped at Alpanna Station for 4 days. Blinman had their annual gymkhana on while we were there. We had a great day & evening and met some wonderful people. Some locals told us the Northern Flinders is the greenest it has been for a couple of decades.
Nice pics Pete.
Regards
Daryl
