Fitting AU Falcon thermo fans on GQ
Ive got a ste of AU Falcon thermo fans and was wondering if anyone has fitted them to their Patrol and what type of modifications are needed to fit them.
i sat mine behind the radiator before i took the motor out and it looked like it was going to hit the water pump.
Any help is greatfull
Jamie

My word of advice is to make sure you have a pretty good shroud around you fans as just having the fans themselves you may find your patrol overheating pretty easily.

Why do you need electric fans that flow less air flow than a factory clutch fan ???
Heating issues ???
OR
Something else ???

im taking the viscous fan of, which will reduce drag on the motor and the twin AU thermos are going to be set at two different temps. i want to have more control over the temp of the cooling system, ive had my old GQ running too hot at first, i put a new radiator in and a diesel viscous fan and it ran too cold. i do alot of trips to the snow and i dont want it running cold. the AU fans have a good shroud and great airflow, the are used by a fair few of the boys i race against, and they are rear mounted aswell as front mounted

If your thermostat is working properly it shouldn't run cold.
Setting up the AU fans as 2 speed is how they were set up in AU's. Run in series at low speed (so each fan saw 6 volts) and parallel for high speed.
