EGT gauge kit - Can I benefit from it?!

Hey Guys,

I already have an AFR gauge.
But, I'm wondering whether it's worth the trouble to have an extra
EGT gauge kit(fairly cheap) to backup the AFR in case it flops in the future.

I mean an el cheapo one like below.

It will also make the empty spaces of the three space dash pod look funky!
Am I wasting time or can it be useful to get an idea about the exhaust gas temperature(as a back up).
