    Hi there from muzmuz

Hi there. The names Luke aka muzmuz.
I have a 2008 GU CRD Nissan Patrol GU5 aka GUS.

GUS is not a car, a truck, or a SUV. Gus is a 'lifestyle'. A lifestyle for myself and my family. We have done some exploring of our great country and we are always planning for more.

I have had some interment time with GUS and have added a few modifications to suit our taste and needs along the way.

On the outside and engine bay these include a 2" lift with sway bar disconnects and 32" Cooper tires, factory steel front bar with IPF spotlights, Long range tank (giving a 1300 kilometer range), dual battery setup, Provent 200, Pacemaker 3" King Brown exhaust, winch, roof racks with awning, Kaymar rear bar twin wheel carrier, side steps, reverse/camp light on an extendable pole,

On the inside we have boost and EGT gauges, 2 x 40 liter Weacos (1 is used as a fridge, the other as a freezer), slim UHF (mounted in center console), reverse camera integrated in a double din Sony dvd head unit, dvd screens for the wee ones in the back, dash cam (that records forward and rear video as well as in cabin video, great for the wife's reactions) and then there are the usual suspects for recovery and tire inflation.

We also have insurance that covers us on non-gazetted roads and private properties. Also the option to buy back any accessories if GUS is a write off. I have chatted with a lot of people about insurance with a common reply "I don't know". I have put in too much time, effort, blood, sweat and the occasional french word to see all of this to be lost.

We as a family are not to concerned about what destination we are heading to, for us it's about our adventure getting there. Sometimes we play a game, we flip a coin heads we go left, tails we go right. We have met many interesting people and places this way.
We love the rural country lifestyle, but are unfortunately stuck in Adelaide (SA) for the time been due to work commitments. One day we will return.
Oh on a quick note the handbrake (I mean my beautiful wife) will bait her own hooks.

Well that is the quick run down,

    Cheers, muzmuz
