    HELP!!!!! GU 2.8 Electrical Gremlins

Hi Everyone, got a weird electrical issue going on with my GU 2.8, basically I don't have any dash lights, speedo or tacho, indicators or hazards, no power windows. Air con works but fan doesnt, stereo works which is on the accessory circuit but more weirdly the temp watchdog doesnt, I have headlights and brake lights. Now when I drove it for a while everything would start working again, basically as soon as I went a short distance it all started working again. Closer inspection of alternator revealed iron filings around it so new alternator just put in this morning, just taken it for a drive and nothing working again, only this time it did'nt come good after a drive. This is driving me nuts, any ideas?

Have you checked all the obvious ....fuses, battery terminals, earth...etc?
Maybe a loose connection in the wiring loom for the dash?

I would check that fuse B, the 100 amp main fuse in the fuse box under the bonnet is not blown or has a bad connection.

Right on the money Yendor, the 80 amp fuse is loose, the copper bits go up inside the fuse when you push it into place.
