Build of Australia's FASTEST PATROL ...Potentially, Using RB26DETT Goodness :)
Hey I'm Matt, and this is my 91 GQ Patrol 4 door ute. I purchased this bad boy in March 2012 with the chop, paint, lift, wheels and tyres already done by the previous owner, Now it's my turn to add my own touch.
For starters It has a TB42 Gas/Petrol carby... That need to go to make room for the Twin turbo Nissan Skyline GT-R motor... Yes I said it Twin Turbo baby! I'll probably leave it twin turbo instead of going for a big single as a low RPM spool will be needed. I will be putting as much into the motor as financially possible to get as much low end torque as possible, I have come from the Import scene and cant seem to let it go completely I know it isn't going to be GT-R fast but its sure going to give most cars a run for their money.
Next in line after the Motor transplant will be a custom instrument cluster, custom door trims from sheet steel, New Comp style bull bar, 40" tyres on 15"x14" Pro Comp rims, Diff Lockers, better suspension. So i should be ketp busy for the next 24 months or so HAHAHA

All the best with the build. Sund like a cracker. I know some extremely fast patrols and its ridiculous how fast they are.
What sort of gearing are you going to use for the 40" tires? That's a lot of rubber to turn to make it Aus's fastest patrol.
And What the brand is the font bar? like how it's been modified.
Cheers

I'll probably save the 40's for the real driving and the 35's or even some stockos for the street, as for the diffs I'm unsure on what's out there. If anyone could point me in the right direction for great info on diff ratios are available that would be great. Also say I got ARB lockers, do they have enythung to do with the ratio? Or do I keep my crown wheel?
As for the bull bar that is on the patrol at the mo, it's an ARB Winch bar from what I can tell, well it has a ARB sticker on it and looks factory. lol
Oh and what "Tappin N Crappin"? I have seen it a few times on this forum now.

This will be good. I think we have a contender for the king of the hammer race in the U.S.

If you dont know what king of the hammer is, it is a race that has high speed desert stages and insane low range crawling stages
