Thanks for all the welcomes. I need some quick advice for now. What thermistat should I run in a TD42 ,96 ? It is running just above cold 1/16 max after a 80 km drive. On a 22 deg day.

I got a Dayco Thermistat 80deg sutable for TD42 and put it in last night and wala, she is running at 1/4 temp now. Now that its running normal temp I pumped up the rev's and put it to test. I can't beleave the grunt this thing has (No Turbo fitted). Time to hit the Bush this weekend.

Ok so your gonna be around Hobart area, I'd suggest coming up the west coast through Strahan(heaps of accommodation there). It's all sealed road driving but it's the most picturesque part of tas.
As for 4wd tracks, how experienced are you? What sort of things would you like to see most?- beaches, mountains, rivers? Lots of easy tracks around Strahan and zeehan that go to all the old mines etc. A good track from Arthur river(town) south along the west coast to temma and beyond(plain gravel road as far as temma then gets more and crazy tu further south you go)
