    Not a huge difference in Torque but the sd33 Turbo develops max torque at 2000 rpm as opposed to 3200 rpm for the TD42 N/A

    SD33T
    3.3 litre, water cooled, diesel engine, turbo charged 4 cycle, 6 cylinder, in-line, OHV 83mm x 100mm 3246 cc 21.6:1
    Max Power - 80.9 kw @4000
    R/min (Din)
    Max Torque - 255 Nm @ 2000

    TD42
    4.2 litre, water-cooled, diesel engine, 4 Cycle, 6 Cylinder, in-line, OHV, Crossflow
    cylinder head, high camshaft, Precombustion chamber 96mm x 96mm 4169 cc 22.7:1
    Max Power - 85kw @ 4000 R/min

    Theres a fella on patrol4x4,who with a seemingly stock SD33T puts at the wheels 400nm of torque,theres even a post of the dyno printout
    Thats not to shabby in any language

    Does anyone notice the bore Vs stroke on the TD above ???

    There a square engine (bore and stroke the same)think the TB42 is as well

    That makes the basis for the ultimate engine
