Bordertrek 4x4 & Fabrication: The Original Rear Worklight Mounts and 4x4 gear
Hi, my name is Dave and I'm the proprietor of Bordertrek 4x4 & Fabrication located in Bordertown SA (a hop skip and jump from the iconic SA/Vic Border Track hence the name) My rig is a TD42 Patrol wagon, mainly set up for harsh touring with other mods to make it more capable in the rough stuff.
I thought it was time I put myself on here and let you all know a bit about me and what I do.
I started the business 6 years ago, my background is metal fab but I've worked in many industries covering many trades. I have a real shop and address in Bordertown with workshop facilities and an ABN so you know I'm not a fly by night or tax dodging backyarder.
I'll also become a forum sponsor once I find where to do it.
I started off small, making rear worklight mounts for GQ's and GU's, both fixed and telescopic. The telescopic ones have been the most popular. They all fit with 35's etc and I can build in offsets to the mounts (for a small additional cost) so 35's will sit up and over without needing an additional bracket eg: ARB wheel spacer.
GQ's and some early GU's generally dont need this though.
Other specialties are GQ factory sway bar release mods for lifted rigs and factory diff lock solenoid kits.
When I moved into the workshop 5 years ago I became a dealer for several companies including Dobinsons Suspension and Ironman 4x4 Equipment, and (Tigerz11 but no longer).
At the workshop I also do a bit of custom fab work such as custom drawers, retro fitting off the shelf and custom made gear to 4wd's, trailers, caravans and RV's etc. Also some general fab work for local businesses.
If things are quiet at the workshop I get out and install antenna systems and cabling on farms, houses etc for UHF, DTV, Internet, Mobile Phone etc. Some of the towers are 70 feet high so lucky I'm not scared of heights!
I'll start adding pic's etc when I get more time and if I can assist you with anything pm me on here or if phoning best to ring me on 0400 250 734 Biz Hrs.
Regards, Dave

Hiya Sudso,
You in any danger of gettin' washed away when all that water gets there...
Dolphins are so smart that within a few weeks of captivity, they can train people to stand on the very edge of the pool and throw them fish.
