Wheel noises
Hi,
yesterday I went 4wding and then on the way home my right hand front wheel was making a grinding noise, I pulled over, jacked the car up and couldn't see a thing, washed the area around the brake and wheel bearing and then the noise seemed to disappear on the way home. However now is making the odd clicking noise (very soft noise) when I get above 60km's however not all the time. There is no death wobble and everything else seems fine. I did notice a few rocks in my tyres so removed them thinking that was the clicking noise but is still there occasionally.
I was thinking bearings however they were all replaced about 5 months ago.
Any ideas??
A woodland in full color is awesome as a forest fire, in magnitude at least, but a single tree is like a dancing tongue of flame to warm the heart.

The clicking will be stones in your tread, i bet. The grinding noise will likely be stones or rubble in behind the brake disk shroud between the disk and the shroud, can get really noisy and make you think the thing is going to fall off. If you washed it out its gone. If on the road even coming to a stop may help dislodge this, reversing may also dislodge it. PITA but no big deal.
Hope that helps and put your mind at ease. Most likely outcome.

The only good thing about an 80 series is..... the front end?? Wrong!!, the Engine?? Wrong!! the Full Time 4WD system?? Wrong!! Its the NissanPatrol.com.au stubby holder fitted over the transfer lever.
