What did you do to your Patrol today!

Check the EGR pipe as well for splits, they squeal like a stuck pig
Unless already blocked

Yeah I've read that , it will be blocked at both ends by the time I'm finished so that'll eliminate that pipe out of the equation , it's already blocked at the valve end but the pipe WAS still under pressure but not anymore , I was just going to block the manifold end of the EGR pipe and put it back together but while I've got it disassembled this far I thought I might as well pull a manifold off and put new gaskets on it as well . Can't see any soot leaks around it but it wouldn't take much of a leak to make a noise .

BREAKTHROUGH !!!!! Leaking around the front of the manifold , what an absolute poofter of a job that was - getting the oil & coolant lines off the turbo - the bloke that designed all that obviously never had to work on it , then get the little front heat shield off & then I found the leak .

So Mudski it turns out that NOBODY in the Latrobe Valley stocks a manifold gasket for a ZD30- NOBODY . 😤 So I Ordered it in for the morning ......... So I guess I'll just sit here & drink inside 👍🏼

Caster correction and spacers to push the diff forward.
I can now have mud flaps with the 33s

Drives a treat too.....
